Texas Tech’s magical season came to an end on Saturday, when they suffered a 21-64 beatdown from Oklahoma. The 10-1 Red Raiders went from being in the BCS Championship game to now the Cotton or Holiday Bowl… all from 1 loss. It’s tough to swallow.
The Sooner defense was too much for Tech’s offense. They limited Micahael Crabtree to 6 receptions for only 62 yards. One thing to note is Crabtree’s touchdown streak also came to an end.
Crabtree has probably played his final game as a collegiate athlete. There’s a chance that he may want to come back next year to see if he can win that ultimate prize (a National Championship ring), but odds are he won’t want to pass up on the guaranteed millions that come from being a top 10 NFL pick.
More to come on the Heisman situation…
